We are playing with the differences between composition and improvisation, structure and openness, form and formless.

"Fake Light" was written collaboratively with a rhythmic idea from our drummer, Jonathan. We elaborated on that idea harmonically and melodically, using our full range of sonic textures. The track was recorded over a matter of weeks and is composed of many layers, but every sound can be recreated during live performance.

"Stage One" is a completely improvised piece; no structures or forms were established beforehand. It is a pure representation of the moment in time it was played.

On all our recordings and performances, computers are used to augment our sound. We incorporate them into our everyday setup and improvise with them like traditional instruments.
